If you’re a hunter who has always dreamed of taking a trip to Africa, now is the time. Game is plentiful and costs are as low as they will ever be. Many outfitters offer all-inclusive day rates that include your in-country transport, meals, drinks, your PH and his or her staff and your hunting vehicle and equipment. Some even include the trophy fees for a certain number of animals. Source: https://burchellwolfsafaris.com/
Africa’s Call of the Wild: Crafting Your Perfect Hunting Expedition
If your hunt takes place in a malarial area, be sure to talk with your PH or the outfitter’s representative about what vaccines you should take. Also, be sure to bring a power inverter for your electronic gear and rechargeable batteries. You will need a variety of adaptors, as well.
It’s important to plan your safari hunt in advance. You’ll need to book at least six months in advance to get the dates you want. This allows you to hunt during the season when the weather and conditions are best.
Once you arrive in Africa — Johannesburg, South Africa, for most hunters — your PH will meet you at the airport and assist with clearing customs (if necessary). Then he or she will drive you to camp. During the day, you’ll likely be able to do some souvenir shopping and sightsee in town. At night, you’ll enjoy the camaraderie of dinner in the main lodge with fellow hunters and your PH. Meals are typically served family-style and are accompanied by fine South African wines.
